Ingredients
- 2 medium carrots, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup red lentils, rinsed
- 1 cup water or low‑sodium broth*
Steps
- Add carrots, lentils, and water to a small pot; bring to a gentle simmer.
- Cook 12–15 min, covered, until lentils and carrots are very soft.
- Blend until smooth; add more liquid for a thinner purée.
Tips
- *If using broth, choose very low or no added sodium.
- Introduce carrots and lentils separately on different weeks before serving as a combo.
